As many baby boomers see retirement on the horizon, they get a sudden shock when they realize they won’t have as much money as they thought…

But they do have money now in the present, so they decide to find an online business that’s can help them retire more comfortably.

Unfortunately, many boomers don’t have great computer skills. And this makes new business owners worry because they’re not that great with a computer.

But there’s a big misconception when it comes to online marketing and what we do…

Since affiliate marketing is an online, everyone assumes you must be an expert in the Internet…

They assume you need all this knowledge about how to build websites, how to set up autoresponders, and how to create lead capture pages.

And although those things do offer you an advantage, at the end of the day we ARE NOT in the Internet marketing business—you are actually in the direct response marketing business.

Internet marketing is just one channel we could use to reach our audience.

There are plenty of affiliate marketers for various online companies, and they don’t know what they are doing when it comes to Internet marketing. But they still make plenty of money.

For example, I know a few affiliates down in Sydney, Australia, and they got past $100,000 in commissions promoting it as a real business, and they were able to make six figures in less than a year.

Their strategy was to place ads in the local newspaper, and the call to action was to give them a phone call. When they got a phone call, then they would either get them to a small live event where they would present the business and do their pitch, or they would just do a sales pitch over the phone. They were good talkers, and they could sell.

Here’s another example… I know a husband and wife team, and they also have NO clue when it comes to building websites or doing any of that stuff.

But they understand what they actually get paid for in the business is to get people in front of the offer. You don’t need to be really that technical with computers to do well in this niche.

There are many people who aren’t that strong when it comes to computer knowledge, and they think they’re at this big disadvantage because they can’t talk as fast as someone younger who’s been at it a little longer.

Or it might take them more time to learn how to navigate around the Internet as quickly as someone who has been at it for a while. They are missing the point…

Its very unfortunate that most people quit before reaching their potential, because they think it’s about being technical having this ability to do the tech side of things.

Some of the very best sales people don’t have a clue when it comes to Internet marketing.

The task you need to do is quite simple…

You need to get people to click and go to your affiliate link. They take your webinar and see the offer, and some of them buy.

Even if this is your very first webinar and you only have a few people, at least you have an audience. That’s where I started a few years ago—with just a couple of people on those webinars.

In the webinar, do the presentation you worked on, sell to them, and then make an offer in the webinar. Then keep doing it again and again and again.

You don’t need to have a lot of computer skills to do well in this business at all. Just remember, get people to click your link, and get quantity and quality people in front of the offer.

When I say quantity, it means you need to get as many of them to the webinar as you can. Quality means you need to be marketing to the right people.

For example, you don’t want to put people in front of affiliate opportunity who have no desire to start a business or who just want to be in a job—that is the wrong target audience.

You want people who want to become entrepreneurs and be their own boss. You want those people in front of the offer.
