How to Get Better with Your Time, Money, and Energy

When you sit at your computer to build your online business, what is the first thing you should do?
If you’re new to online marketing, it can be tough deciding where to devote your time, money, and energy.
It’s pretty simple—all you need to do is get from point-A-to-point-B. So ask yourself, “What’s the shortest path from where I am today, to where I want to be?”
If you’re brand new to online marketing and building you’re business, you should focus on these top-three priorities…
Priority #1: Get your first sale and create cash flow first

The best start to any business is making that first dollar.
But where will you find a prospect? Where are they right now? Are they currently on another website that’s related to you’re niche?”
Do a Google search and type in keywords that relate to whatever you’re offering. For example, you could search for ‘how make money online.’
You will instantly get a list of millions of websites, and usually the ones at the top are the most popular. When you find the website that relates best to your customers, that’s where you should place your ad…
Just put your ad right there in front of them on that website, and when they click the ad, they land on your lead capture page, and then you put them in front of your offer. This is the shortest path to getting to that first prospect.
Priority #2: Complete your high-priority tasks in the morning

Most people have the most mental energy first thing in the morning, and that’s when you should send out an email to your list.
Writing a good email requires a high level of creative thinking, and you need to be in a good frame of mind to do that. You should do a task like this first thing in the morning when you’re at your peak.
On the other hand, if you’re working when it’s late (sometimes I work until 1-or-2 a.m.), and you’re feeling drained, that’s when to do things in your business that don’t require your full energy…
For example, at the end of the day you might be reply to emails, or going through deleting things out of your email inbox.
DON’T check your email in the morning…

I strongly advise against checking your email inbox first thing in the morning.
When you start replying to emails and focusing on many different issues, it’s easy to get distracted and waste the most productive time of your day…
You should use your most creative time for things like writing emails, writing sales copy, coming up with a new offer, etc. Focus on being your most creative first thing in the morning.
Priority #3: Be strict with your budget

As far as prioritizing your money, if you are brand new in business, you should invest your money into whatever will produce cash flow.

And you should avoid distractions…
For example, you shouldn’t go pay $2,000 for a fancy logo before you even have a clue about your customer acquisition process—because a new logo is not going to bring you the quickest return.
If you have to choose between designing a fancy logo, getting new business cards made, or investing that money into paid traffic, something that’s going to bring me a return—you should put that money to wherever it’s going to bring you the highest return in the shortest amount of time possible.
The highest return-on-investment (ROI) you could possibly make is to put your money into acquiring new customers. That’s why you should buy some paid ads and get started first.
Then, once you’re making money online, you can use that money to design a new logo and get business cards.
Here’s today’s advice for you…
Start every morning performing the high-level, creative tasks that actually bring you the money.

You started your business because you want to make money right? So fight against the distractions and focus on your top priorities—running ads and making money.
