Question by Susy: What should I write on a flyer to advertise a home day care??
My friend and I want to start a home based business and since I have experience with children (I worked at a day care for over 4 years), we decided to open a home day care. We are not licensed yet, but we just want to get 2 or 3 children each one, that we can babysit during summer, and if the business grow, we are going to get the license.
We are new at our neighborhood (just moved in last week) so I was thinking in writing some flyers.
Do you have any idea??? What should I write on it???

You should include the following:
* Your Experience
* The address where the children will be staying with you
* A contact phone number and e-mail
* A brief description of your childrearing philosophy – what you find is important to raise/care for children. This is important because it will match your ideas/skills with parents who see those things as important also… and make your life easier as a caretaker.
A good place to start would be at a local organization that you care about. If you are a churchgoer, make connections there. If you join some other special club, then check with those people and see if you can offer your services. The thing is that you will be advertising to people who have things in common with you. It’s good for your business and the children of people with similar interests.
