Question by Ish: Can anyone give me advice/tips on starting a online vintage store?
My sister and I are addicted vintage collectors. We have way too many items now, and are seriously thinking about starting a online vintage store mainly focusing on clothing and accessories, but we are clueless when it comes to starting a business. Especially a online business! How should we start? Tips and pointers.. thanks!

I’d suggest using etsy as opposed to ebay, but if you aren’t sure which one you’d rather, i have a blog post about the pros and cons here – http://vintage-threads.com/diy-tutorials/etsy-vs-ebay/ . Think of a creative name for it, one that will draw people in. Then, concentrate on getting a blog going. I’d suggest using blog spot to do this, but you can always make your own domain – although that costs a fair bit of money. Also, get a facebook fan page started. Start listing items, make sure you take GOOD PHOTOS. no one wants to buy something that they can’t see clearly due to the graininess of the photo and the poor angle. Post frequently in fashion forums, make sure a link to your blog/store is in your signature. Hope that helps!
