Question by Help: Can you be fired for applying somewhere else or fired for getting another job?
I recently been applying for another job and joined a home based business, I just got laid off of my finance job or fired. Could they be interrelated to my termination?
No I didn’t search online for any jobs, but I recently enrolled into a home base business, I’m not sure if my HBB shows as employment, but If so does that mean my company can find out if I have another job?

Your company can fire you if they find out that you are searching for another job. Were you looking for jobs on the company computer? They can track your activity and websites you go on.Did you list your company as a reference? because someone might have called your manager to ask questions about you. Or you can ask why you were laid off, it’s illegal for your company not to tell you.
