Question by Annie T: Can I continue using Quickbooks 2007 edi for 2007 and 2008?
I run a small home-based business and my accounting book is very simple: with only one contractor, few clients and no sale tax. Is there any need for me to change QB version?

QuickBooks does not need to be upgraded unless you have a need. If you were hiring someone to do it for you that could be a problem.
What QuickBooks does is you can go forward and bring your data into the new versions but you can’t go backwards once you import it into a new version. So if you are working with someone that does your bookkeeping you have to pretty much stay even with them.
By what you discribe you don’t need to purchase a new version.
