Question by alexia: Can someone tell me how I go about getting a Tax ID?
I’m starting a home based online business. I need to get a Tax ID. Do I get one as a result of getting a business license? This is a mystery to me. Please help.

That’s assuming you mean an employer identification number. If you need a sales tax id #, you need to check your state’s taxing authority
