Question by : In Texas, What liabilty and/or rights does a landlord have if a tenant opens a home based daycare?
Curious to see what happens if a tenant starts running a home based daycare in your property. It looks like some states say you can’t evict a person just for starting a day care at your residence.

Does your lease with the tenant permit such activities? Seems to me that your tenant’s business raises liability issues for you. If a child is hurt on the premises, the parents could sue you.
