How can I make a home-based cleaning service a Corporation even if I have the people I hired as a Independent Contractors?

You have to apply to the secretary of state with the name you have chosen for your business. Call to make sure the name isn’t taken and ask for the paperwork to incorporate. Most people use an attorney to do the initial paperwork and use the attorney as the registered agent.
