Question by cynthia l: Is there someone interested in an event planning apprentice?
I’m in the process of starting a home based event planning business. I’ve read the books, however I would greatly appreciate someone who is in the biz helping me learn the ins and outs by hiring me as a part time apprentice/helper. I’m a honest, mature individual just trying to get in.

I do wish you the best in finding someone to help you. You should also mention your state in case someone nearby can help you. I’ve looked into this myself and have put on events. It is exciting and there is a lot of work involved. If you have the business sense for it then you’ll do great. Try contacting your local Chamber of Commerce, bridal shops, hotels, casinos and ask for referrals. They usually have someone who handles the events when brides ask. I’m sure they do many type of events too. Best wishes!
