Question by : What is your opinion of acetate fabric?
I’m considering purchasing a light “business” jacket online. It is most acetate with a little spandex blended in. I like the style of the jacket, but have no idea what it would feel like and how the fabric will age.
Could I get your opinion?

Acetate is a “cool” fabric — poor heat retention. High lustre, good drape, smooth texture and hand; low abrasion resistance and tenacity, moderate elongation, moderate absorbency, low appearance retention, poor resilience, poor wrinkle resistance; most is dry clean only. Lycra improves things some, but still not enough to bother with. imo.
Probably my least favorite fiber, for whatever that’s worth.
