Question by Ian: What service is in highest demand in North Carolina?
I am looking to start a home based business and would like to know what independent service is in the highest demand at this time. What service do you use in your life that you feel is a need and would be one of the last things you would be willing to sacrifice if need be?

I think that any service that people can’t do without in NC would be the best career to pursue. A good example would be HVAC. People need heat and A/C in this state. I have friends that are in this field and more work than they can handle.
Another good career choice might be internet service. If I had to choose between home phone service, cable and internet, my internet would stay on. I use this for work, play, etc. I think even people that are jobless would agree that they use the internet to search for work, etc.
