Acceptance of porn as a legitimate industry?

Question by joe m: Acceptance of porn as a legitimate industry?
What do you think about this? What’s going on?
Learning Annex teaching Pornography. What do YOU think?
There is an actual school called the Learning Annex in Los Angeles that has classes on “How to make money in the Adult Business.” They teach you how to make videos, post things online, etc. In other words, how to become a pornographer.
I contacted the National Organization for Women about this, and they were very rude to me; they told me that they don’t get involved in “things like that” and to not “waste their time.” “If you don’t like it, don’t take the class.”
So, it’s ok for the image of women to be pornographic images? Oh, sure, I am sure that helps women improve via empowerment!
How disgusting!
Women don’t care?
Ok. That’s how I tried to help (I am a man).
Here’s MY question: What can you do about this?!

Porn has been a “legitimate” business for decades. The legitimacy is in the eye of the beholder I suppose, but hundreds of millions are spent on varying degrees of pornographic entertainment.

What really defines the label “porn”? My grandparents felt Playboy was porn. Then larry Flynt raised (lowered) the bar w Hustler. NOW…………WOW….& how sad……..

I understand your point though, & where do we draw the line & clean up some of this mess?

I happen to enjoy erotica/porn myself, but children should be beter shielded from the barage of pornographic images EVERYWHERE!!

How would you solve this proposition…..a dear friend once pointed an accusation at me stating, “It’s because of men like you, who would read Playboy that women are forced to take their clothes off for money!”

My response? “Hmmm, could it be…it’s because of men like me that women have a CHOICE of whether to remove their clothes for money…OR NOT!! ?”
