The answer depends.
Home based business has its value. It is one kind of the business models. Passed records proved that it is a useful model. Some people in this field got large achievement with the fact that some of them lose their time and monetery capital in this field.
There are two kinds of home based business model, they all give people the opportunity to success. Acturally they are the same one, only one is a early stage model, the other is the upgrade model. They all have its value, due to the diverse stratification of the real life.
The first category is MLM company, (eg. Nuskin, Amway, Market America). They are aimed as recruit product distributor, let’s make is plain and down to earth, they are revruiting retailor. The result is the company needs to pay the large compensation fee for the retailors, thus leads to a high price products.If the person involved in this business is not a great sales and retail person; has no time, human and monetery capital. The reult is large monetery lost and time been wasted. Most of them end with a large storage of products in their basement.
The second category is a upgrade model of the first category. (eg. melaleuca) This kind of company they are aimed at recruit business partner, provide a unique Revenue Sharing opportunity. Peolple join in these kind of business have no risk. No monetery investment. The company provide everything, one do not need to purchase large mandetory inventory in a monthly committment 12 month a year, and in a rush to sale them out in a monthly frame. Take Melaleuca for exmaple, they only require their Marketing executive to purchase 35 points product every month, as well as a normal prefer customer do.
