Question by : What can a 13 year old do for a home based business?
My babysitting practice recently collapsed and now i am looking for another home business/way to make money that I can do from home or with limited to full work in the community. My options are open other than mowing lawns, housework, etc. I will be 14 in february and I am currently in 8th grade. Any suggestions???

You have alot of options. What are your skills? hobbies? interests? You should focus on finding and filling the needs of your potential customers, not on your needs for money. Trust me, do what you love and the money will follow. Do you have a library near you? Check out the following two books… “Fast Cash for Kids” by Bonnie & Noel Drew and “The Richest Kids in America” by Mark Vincent Hansen. You will be amazed!!! You can do so much besides outside and inside chores if you put your mind (and energy) into it. Don’t let your age be a handicap… be the best at what you do. What about teaching computers? writing about personal interests? making crafts? cooking or baking??? What’s wrong with washing windows or laundry/ironing? recycling or selling thermostats/energy light bulbs??? Oh, the list goes on and on but the more you say “no” to an idea, the more you are limiting yourself… and your income. What do your customers want/need??? That’s the answer for you!!!
