Question by lbaker74: I want to start a home based business but I was wondering about being tax exempted here in TN?
I have looked that the TN gov website but I don’t see anything there that deals with home based businesses. Could someone help me. Thanks

are you talking sales taxes or income taxes? – internet or home based or having a brick and mortar storefront or office outside the house – makes no difference – depends on what you are selling that may require you to charge and collect sales taxes (and then send them to the state monthly or quarterly). All “for-profit” businesses have to pay taxes on net income – there is no tax exemption for income tax
