Question by zigzac: Do I need to pay import charges/custom duty on clothes from India for home based business ?
Hi I’m planning to open up a retail clothing business in my own home. I’m planning to buy that stuff from directly from manufactures ,India . So here my question can I buy directly from manufactures.They will ship to me directly. So do i need to pay any custom duty on clothes to USA govt ?? Please suggest me the process if you know.

Yes you do have to pay an import tax. I am a business owner and my supplier is outside the US. I have to go through customs and pay the appropriate tax on everything I bring in.
