Question by : In Tennessee, can I have a home-based online business when my dad already has one in our home?
He has a business license already as a construction company office. I am needing one for an online business. No customers or employees come to our house as part of our work.
Will we get in trouble for having two licenses in one home?

For this to be illegal, there would have to be a law that says that two businesses can’t have the same address. But obviously there’s no such law, otherwise it would be illegal to have more than one company in an office building. It shouldn’t matter whether it’s a home or not.
