Question by I: Is wordpress enough for creating a website for an online business?
If I wanted to create a website for an online business that sells items, would wordpress be sufficient? I have very basic knowledge or XHTML and CSS. Is that enough? Or should I pay a web designer to design a page for me? Or should I just make one using dreamweaver or something like that?
Also, if I wanted to have fourms and other features on my website, would wordpress be enough?

Selling items online you will need more, there are a few options.
1. Easiest option is to use a template based shopping cart. This will one is easy to use, its set up thought paypal or you can use your merchant account if you have one to accept payments. its from http://www.BigDealDomains.com
The direct link is http://www.securepaynet.net/ecommerce/shopping-cart.aspx?ci=1807&prog_id=478576
2. You can also use a web designer but you will need an SSL (secure socket layer) to encrypt the page if you don’t use paypal. Www.BigDealDomains.com has an easy install for zen cart in there hosting accounts if you use a web designer.
I’ve done both and highly recommend the template based cart. Its alot cheaper, you have full control and www.BigDealDomains.com has 24/7 support so they can help you with the set up and any tech or design questions.
