Question by Tara: Where do I start this “online business”?
I really want to start an online business while i’m in college to get first hand experience while i’m learning before I open a store. How can I go about doing this? I want to start by selling pet treats, then grow into a full pet store. I don’t know what licenses I need to have or anything.

You need four things:
1) A contract with a company that will drop ship your pet treats (drop shipping means a you send a company an order and payment and they send their product to where you want, thus a customer orders from you and pays you and then you forward the order and the payment, which should be less than what the customer paid if you want to stay in business, to the company that makes the dog treats.
2) You need a website so that people can become aware of your services, what can be ordered.
3) The website should be on the first page of a web search the customer does.
4) The website has to be able to accept payment for whatever the customer is buying.
