Question by MsNaTTyLoCs38: Do you need a business license to open a computer repair service in NYC even if it is a home based business?
I ask this question because I am headed to small claims court, and one of the pieces of evidence to support my claim is that this person has no business license, therefore he also doesn’t pay taxes on his “business.” He claims he doesn’t need a license if his business is home-based. I really doubt that this true…the government passing up a chance to get their piece of the pie? Nahh. Thanks for answering!
