Can I keep my business license in my home state even if I change residence to another?

Question by : Can I keep my business license in my home state even if I change residence to another?
I have a business license in my home state of Montana. I will soon be moving to Arizona where my children (and new grandson!) live. My work is such that I can do it from anywhere, and will be spending a good part of each year in Oregon also.
My bookkeeper and banking institution will remain in Montana.
Can anyone tell me whether I will need to register my business in those other states, or whether I can travel around and leave my business home base where it is?

Provided you are still having some business operations in the former state. But check tax rates, maybe it is cheaper just to move the business to the new state if that state’s taxes and filing fees are lower.
