My online business is really taking off; and I am about to hire my
first real employee. I need a software package that can help me manage my payroll. Any suggestions on which program to use?

My church uses and highly recommends a payroll product from their bank, Bank of America. For such a small business, it should work great for you. My business uses QuickBooks and an add-on from them. We like it. Make sure you are ready for employees. Get an employee manual, try all compensation to reward the behavior you desire most. Have you read a great book for small businesses, “The eMyth Revisited?” Please do. It will help you so much. It changed my view of business.
