I am a 23 year old college student, and I want to start investing and learning more about how it all works. However, my knowledge is little (limited to one business finance course).
I would like to know what online businesses are best for someone with little knowledge, and no minimum account balance. Any help would be appreciated!

Opening a brokerage account should only be done if you know what you want in a broker. Going by what I think you want is not exactly the best way to go.
Learn the basics. Read a few books on stock investing & then research a broker that meets your knowledgeable requirements.

Stock Investing For Dummies.
Then read next:
And then read a couple of more books (your choice).
