I’m interested in starting a home based catering business in northern California and am having difficulty locating the information on line. I would like to do all food preparations at home. thanx

CALGOLD database or the California Business Permitting Database has the info on where you need to go and what licenses and permits you need to get. They don’t have a catering business listed, but do the food manufacturing since that is essentially catering

The Health Dept will check your kitchen if it is commercial. Residential kitchens hardly makes the grade. You will need a commercial kitchen before you can get license to operate
