Question by FairyNanook: Have you found a system of organization that has helped you run your home based business?
I just started a small business that I am running through my home. But the papers and finances and receipts, etc are a bit overwhelming since I didn’t have a system already set up to receive them in the beginning. Has anyone found anything to be particularly helpful or a system of organizing that works for you?

If you have a computer, use a spreadsheet program (eg Microsoft Excel) to keep your accounts in order. There’s a template that comes with the program. Keep it simple. Income, Expenses, etc…There are even FREE spreadsheet programs that you can download from the net. Just use Google to find ‘free spreadsheet applications’…if u do not have a PC, go back to basics…use a fullscap paper with columns to show money coming in and out…Filing is very important, get 2 files, again, one for all your expenses and the other for all you income (statements)…hope this helps….good luck.
